Re-organisation of Local Government in Albania: Democratic Dimensions of Territorial Consolidation
This policy paper aims at analyzing the potential effects of the administrative and territorial reform in Albania with a special focus on the democratic deficit on local level. At the same time, the paper provides alternatives for correcting such deficit as well as a series of recommendations in the frame work of the design of the New Decentralisation Strategy.
