Regional Conference: Financial Aspects of Economic Crisis and their Impact on Security Sector

 6-7 November 2012, Budva / Montenegro

The Head of CESA, Arjan Dyrmishi participated to the conference on ‘Financial Aspects of Economic Crisis and their Impact on Security Sector’ that was organised by RACVIAC, Centre for Security Cooperation, in Budva, Montenegro on 6 to 7 November 2012.

The purpose of this conference was to bring together regional experts on economy and finance, as well as experts and decision makers from Defence Planning, Defence Budgeting and Defence Policy Departments, equivalents from the Internal Affairs offices, along with members and professionals from parliamentary defence and security committees from the SEE to introduce, discuss and, to an extent, deal with the issues related to the current economic and financial crisis, its effects on budget and general expenditure trends.

Mr. Arjan Dyrmishi contributed to the conference with a discussion on financial transparency as a tool to prevent mismanagement and improve the efficiency of the allocated budgets but at the same as a means to increase the legitimacy and public support for the security sector institutions.
