Blueprint | Strengthening Albanian State Police Integrity and Accountability

January 2021- The Blueprint is based on the analysis of the trends of the three studies conducted by IDM in 2014, 2014 and 2020 of the public and police employees’ perception on police integrity in Albania.  The analysis of this data and particularly, of the challenges reported by the state police officers themselves, provides an explanation on the unstable results for the consolidation of ASP. Therefore the Blueprint provides a roadmap that should be followed not only to improve the performance of ASP, but also to strengthen the integrity of the organisation, its success in the fight against corruption, and to create an environment where the police is an ally of citizens.
