Following the publication of the PAR Monitor Report Albania, 2019/ 2020, the WeBER 2.0 research team and associates prepared three policy briefs on some of the most burning issues identified in the latest WeBER 2.0 monitoring cycle. Policy briefs focus on the politicization of the civil service in Albania, data-based policymaking and public consultations, offering extensive recommendations on the steps that can be followed to improve civil service and policymaking integrity in Albania. Policy briefs were presented and discussed in the policy forum “Civil service and policymaking integrity”, among an audience of policymakers, local and international experts and civil society, part of the National Working Group on PAR Albania. The event was organised by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation, in collaboration with Hanns Seidel Stiftung, bureau of Tirana in the framework of the Integrity Week 2021.

The activity is part of the “Western Balkans Civil Society Empowerment for a Reformed Public Administration” – WeBER 2.0, a regional project implemented by the Think for Europe – TEN Network and funded by the European Union.
