Promoting Citizen’s Participation in Local Decision Making

In the framework of strengthening local democracy in the Municipality of Shijak through setting up and functioning of the Citizens' Observatory, monitoring was conducted by the working groups of the observatory with the assistance of IDM staff to promote public transparency, improving accountability and responsiveness of local government. This assessment report of the performance of the Municipality of Shijak was prepared by Citizens' Observatory of this municipality supported by the Department for Local Governance and Integrated Development of the Institute for Democracy and Mediation and Civil Society Development Center Durres.
