Weekend Public Lectures – 13 April 2013; Tirane

The second session of weekend lectures: “The world of think tanks” was dedicated to evidence-based policy research and the importance of data in this process. The lecturers were delivered by Ms. Maria do Carmo Gomes (ILO Chief Technical Adviser) and Ms. Aranita Brahaj (Open Data Albania).

They both have a long experience in conducting research and policy analysis through qualitative and quantitative data either in university affiliated think tanks or other think tank organizations. During the lectures, key issues were tackled as the need for transparency and access to information as well as the link of theoretical scientific approach to policymaking.
