Result Based Management: A Manual for Local Governance in Albania

National Conference – July 12, 2011 – Hotel Tirana International 

Institute for Democracy and Mediation, on 12 July 2011, organized a National Conference on “Results Based Management-A Manual for Local Governance in Albania”. The event was held at the premises of the Tirana International Hotel.

The conference main goal was to share IDM newly published manual ”Towards Result Based Management in Local Government Units”, but it contributed as well to the efforts of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the public institutions especially the local government units in Albania by promoting the RBM approach to the newly elected Mayors of Municipalities in Albania, raising awareness of national and international stakeholders in Albania on the importance of supporting RBM practice at the local level.

The conference was organized in coordination with the Albanian Ministry of Interior and with the valuable participation of the newly elected municipal mayors, high-level civil servants as well as management experts from universities and academia, think tank institutes, NGOs, and media.
