Focus Group: Independent Oversight Institutions in Albania

CESA organized on Oct 13th 2011 the Focus Group discussion with representatives from the independent oversight bodies, to clarify the findings of the security reform research conducted. In the focus group were present representatives from the main key independent oversight institutions such as Ombudsperson, Public Procurement Advocate, Commission for Protection of Personal Data, Ministry of Defense, High Inspectorate for the Declaration of Assets, Commissioner for Protection against Discrimination, Ministry of Interior etc.

The focus group was focused on the most sensitive issues related to the transparency and independent oversight of the security sector institutions in Albania, more specifically in regards to competences of each institution in conducting oversight, as well as administrative capacities, and obstacles during implementation.
