This annual index addresses the status and development trends of civil society in 74 countries around the world, focusing on legal environment, organizational capacity, financial sustainability, advocacy, service provision, sectoral infrastructure, and public image.
After the presentation of the findings on Albania, a panel of experts will analyze the main developments the country experienced during 2021 and their impact on the enabling environment for civil society.
According to the Index, even though these developments did not affect the overall sustainability of CSOs, they brought slight deteriorations in the dimensions of the legal environment, advocacy, and public image.
This report was developed by IDM in partnership with FHI 360 and the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) with the support of the USAID – US Agency for International Development.
