Lorena Totoni works as an expert for local governance at IDM Albania. Her main activity is centered around issues of local governance, integrity, ethics, and strategic planning processes at the local and regional levels of public governance. In more than 20 years of professional activity, she has developed strong skills and competencies in the field of local and regional development policy design, strategic planning, international policy, project management, public governance structures, regional partnerships, and community development.
Lorena is an active member of AER (Assembly of European Regions) Academic Pool of the Observatory on Regionalization, as well as AER reporter for Albania on the state of regional democracy. In addition, she is also Assistant Lecturer on Business Ethics and Organizational Behavior at Economy Faculty at the University of Tirana. Before joining IDM Albania Lorena held for many years the position of Director at Regional Development and Foreign Relations Department in Tirana Region. She has an MSC in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana and an MA in Public Administration from the University of Tirana.
Lorena is fluent in Albanian, English and Italian and has sufficient skills in the German language.
