Evelina Azizaj is the Program Manager of Local Governance and Integrated Development (LGID) at IDM. She manages and coordinates programs in the area of local governance, decentralization, local integrated development and community empowerment, providing guidance and leadership as well as building and maintaining partnerships and communication with stakeholders. Evelina has more than 15 years of experience in programming and management, which provides her with excellent planning, management and organizational skills.

Before joining IDM in 2016, Evelina worked for twelve years as a Regional Development Expert at the Albanian Development Fund. She has an admirable and extensive working experience in assisting local government units and local communities to strategize their socio-economic local development. She also has been the key expert at the Resource Training for Local and Regional Development, delivering capacity building programs to municipal administration and CSOs.

She holds a Master of Science in Administration from Andrews University, U.S. In addition, she is also a qualified project manager and holds the PRINCE2® Practitioner level qualification – a globally project management methodology – awarded by APMG-International in 2015.

Evelina is fluent in Albanian and English.
