This research report was developed in the framework of the regional project “Improving international governance in health care – The COVID-19 pandemic and lessons learned from the Western Balkans.” The report highlights the impact that anti-pandemic measures had on the state of democracy in Albania, freedom of expression, and public procurement. It also shows the impact of the pandemic on other areas in the country, including life expectancy, employment; the health care system, foreign policy, disinformation campaigns, as well as the support of international organizations to Albania.
