Romario Shehu is a project coordinator and researcher focusing on security related issues. Currently, Mr. Shehu is coordinating the implementation of the ‘School as Community Center’ project in several schools in Albania, and the Western Balkans Organized Crime Radar (WB-OCR). His research centers on radicalization and violent extremism, but he also works on topics related to organized crime and building community resilience.
Before joining IDM, Mr. Shehu worked as an intern at the Security Policy Directorate – Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Albania and attended several youth programs dealing with democracy, European integration, political ideologies, regional cooperation and youth participation in decision-making. Mr. Shehu holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Tirana and a BA degree in Political Science and International Relations from Epoka University.
Mr. Shehu is fluent in Albanian, English, and Turkish.
