The Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) continues its OP-ED and Podcast Series developed under the project “The 3 R’s of EU Integration – Rule of Law, Resilience, and Reform.”
The second article in the series, authored by Anamarija Velinovska, Researcher at the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis (IDSCS), explores how the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans is reshaping the logic of the enlargement process.
The article argues that the Reform and Growth Facility introduces a new model of EU conditionality, linking financial support to measurable reform outcomes. It also highlights why gradual integration into the EU Single Market should become a tangible incentive for credible and sustainable reforms.
