Policy paper: Building Citizen Centered Policy-Making

This paper elaborates on the process of policy-making and focuses on how citizens fit into the whole picture (or process).

References are made to key actors and institutions as responsible for the effective enforcement of mechanisms and tools designed for meaningful citizen participation in policy-making via information and/or citizen consultations to ensure active participation.

Information and consultations respectively represent one-way and two-way relationships, in which governments either depart or receive information and feedback from the public.
