Supporting policy for the qualification and employment of Roma language teachers

Children belonging to the Roma national minority face multiple difficulties that prevent regular attendance and learning in compulsory education, making it difficult to move to other levels of education. In addition to the economic, social, and intercultural challenges, a decisive obstacle is the poor communication of Roma children in the Albanian language, which is made difficult by the fact that these children learn the Roma language not through grammar rules, outside the care of educational institutions and from their parents. with a low level of education. Thus, the learning of the Romani language outside the care of educational institutions, not only affects the level of understanding and expression in the Romani language of these children, but also makes it difficult to understand, follow and learn the lessons in the Albanian language. As a result, due to linguistic difficulties in the Albanian language, often aggravated by the irregular teaching of the Roma language, many Roma children remain behind and often drop out of school.
