Junior Researcher | Project Assistant
Romario Shehu is a junior researcher and project assistant, focusing on issues of security, good governance and democracy. His research is centred on radicalization and violent extremism, but he has also worked on topics related to anti-corruption, public administration, and building community resilience.
Before joining IDM, Romario worked as an intern at the Security Policy Directorate – Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Albania, and attended several youth programmes dealing with democracy, EU Integration, political ideologies, regional cooperation and youth participation in decision-making. Romario holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Tirana and a BA degree in Political Science and International Relations from Epoka University.
Romario is fluent in Albanian, English and Turkish, and he is currently learning Spanish.
