CSS FOCUS AREAS

The CSS’ focus involves primarily National, Balkan and European security policy and its efforts will be invested in the following thematic areas:

• European and regional security maters, policies and institutions - EU, NATO, UN, OSCE etc.

• Geopolitical implications resulting from the widening and deepening processes within the existing institutional framework - political, economic, social and security impact;

• Transition and democratization processes in the context of EU and NATO integration efforts;

• Contemporary challenges to peace and security, including WMD proliferation, terrorism, organized crime and threats to human security;

• Conflict management and peace building - conflict analysis, peace operations.
