The Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) is looking for a motivated student or recent graduate to assist our communications team for 3 to 5 months. In December this year, IDM is launching its new Communications strategy 2020-2022. The Communications Intern will play an integral role in the implementation of this new strategy and the quality assurance of (online) communications output. Common tasks are drafting, editing and publishing content on the website and social media platforms (EN+AL); drafting the communications report; and assisting in the preparation and coordination of IDM’s events. Because we work with a small team, we are looking for a motivated individual that can work independently and is eager to take on new responsibilities.
Eligibility
The successful candidate(s) must meet the following requirements:
- Strong communication and analytical skills;
- Available at least 20hrs/week;
- Knowledge of social media platforms and marketing;
- Basic experience with WordPress;
- Basic understanding of Google Analytics and Facebook/Twitter analytics;
- Very good command of English and Albanian language;
- Interest in governance, democratisation and security-related issues.

*Please note that internships at IDM are unpaid and that we are not able to assist with visa applications. EU citizens looking to intern can stay in Albania for up to 90 days without a visa, US citizen up to 1 year.
